These 4K Dolby Atmos trailers will be familiar to anyone who’s been through the HD Dolby section — Chameleon, Core Universe, Escape, Leviathan and Pufferfish also exist in 1080p versions elsewhere in the library. What’s different here is the resolution: 3840×2160 at 4K, with significantly higher file sizes as a result. Escape tops out at 1.68GB for the lossless Atmos version — against 80MB for the HD equivalent. The extra bitrate shows, particularly on displays that can actually render the difference.
Each of these 4K Dolby Atmos trailers comes in two versions: DD 5.1 in mkv and lossless Atmos in m2ts. The lossless preference is consistent across all five — roughly double the downloads in every case.
Core Universe leads at 120,000 lossless downloads, Chameleon just behind at 109,000. Both happen to be the smallest files on the page — 978MB and 609MB for the Atmos versions respectively. Whether that’s coincidence or people avoiding the larger downloads is hard to say, but the pattern holds.
Escape is a different story: 1.68GB for the Atmos version, 20 seconds of content. The bitrate is doing a lot of work there. Downloads drop accordingly — 72,000 lossless versus the 100,000+ of the top two.
Leviathan and Pufferfish are the least downloaded at around 46,000 and 40,000 lossless respectively. Both are under 400MB for the Atmos version, so size isn’t the reason — they’re just less popular than the other three consistently across both the HD and 4K versions.
