DTS Digital Experience and the HD shift — page 2
Page 2 is where the DTS section changes gear. The first two files — Sparks (Sprite Suite Mix) and the DTS Digital Experience — are SD VOB encodes like everything on page 1. The last three — Animated Logo, Anthem and History — step up to DTS-HD MA 7.1 in MKV, a significant jump in both quality and file size.
Among all files on this page, the DTS Digital Experience leads by a wide margin with around 2,584 downloads. At 33 seconds and 30.6MB it’s the longest and largest of the two VOB files, which largely explains its position — it’s the only SD file here that holds its own against the HD entries. Sparks (Sprite Suite Mix) is shorter at 18 seconds and pulls 729 downloads, similar territory to the Sprite Mix from page 1 given it’s the same demo in a different mix.
The lossless versions follow the same pattern seen throughout this library — DTS-HD MA consistently pulls roughly double the standard DD 5.1 downloads. Animated Logo shows the biggest gap: 1,643 lossless versus 657 for DD. History and Anthem are closer but still clearly favour the lossless version.
History is the largest file at 620MB for the DTS-HD version and the longest at 137 seconds — the only proper long-form demo among the three HD files. Animated Logo is the smallest at 85.2MB and 21 seconds. Anthem at 180MB and 42 seconds sits mid-point between the two. All three are 1080p MKV — no M2TS here, unlike much of the Dolby HD section.
